Since going to school in Shanghai in late 2007 the progress and the development was simply amazing. Shanty towns have been replaced by 50 story apartment complexes. The roads, subways and the basic services have all improved drastically. This country has made 10-15 years of progress in just fewer than 3.
Plus this must have been the best weather I have seen in China. All three cities I visited Qingdao, Shanghai, and Beijing had clear blue skies for the trip. Something I rarely saw during my previous stay.
One last thing, the Chinese duckboat technology is way more advanced than that here in the United States. As Americans we cannot live in a world that we do not lead the duckboat race
